Cannons Motor Spares TinTop Challenge incl. Tigers
Quaife Intermarque Challenge incl. Dunlop TVR Challenge

On Saturday the Tigers joined the tin tops for two rather wet races. Both times it was the RS6 model of Paul Dudley which triumphed but not without considerable pressure from Stewart Fenton. Tom Griffiths had qualified on pole but literally slipped down the order in the first race. For the second encounter he got to grips with the conditions and climbed back to third, which also gained him the driver of the day award.

In the tin tops section Gary Chappell emerged victorious twice. Coping with the wet track well, his five year old Kumho tyres cut a path which nobody else could match. Dave “Darlington” Cox (Peugeot 205) chased Gary home in the first race, whilst Andy Mitchell made Gary work hard in the second round. Cox had engine problems and retired, whilst Terry Searles won the best prepared car award despite a very lurid spin coming around Coram.
