Over the years Rod has amazingly driven over 70 different cars. Here is just a selection.

Hillman Imp

1973 was the year the journey began. The first car was a Hillman Imp with a George Bevan engine. Although this photo is at Brands Hatch, Rod won the Ingliston based, Scottish Production Saloon Championship.

Toyota Corolla

Sharing Sean Brown's Corolla at the Willhire 24 hours. John Cleland just beat them to class honours in a Vauxhall Astra.

Lotus Espirit

Sharing Tony Sugdens GAA V6 Lotus Espirit at Brands Hatch in 1986. Taken during the Thundersports race which immediatly follwed the last F1 Grand Prix at the circuit.

Mitsubishi Starion

The ex- Dave Brodie Mitsubishi Starion at Brands Hatch. This photo was taken whilst leading Tony Davies in his Transpeed Firenza.

Opel Manta

This time sharing Joe Ward's Opel Manta at a Thundersaloon race at Oulton Park.

Honda Prelude

This was a production saloon version used in the last Willhire 24 hour race with the Elliot father and son team. Unfortunatly the engine blew at around 7am, Sunday morning.

BMW M3

Sharing Frank Cundell's Production Saloon class BMW M3. Together they claimed third overall at the Willhire "25" hour race.

TVR Tuscan

A one off outing in an outragiously powerfull TVR Tuscan at Brands Hatch.

MGC V8

Driving Mark Burnside's MGC at Lydden. Rod won the John Taylor Handicap Championship in consecutive years. 1997 and 1998.

Sunbeam Tiger V8

Sharing John Harrrison's wonderful V8 powered Sunbeam Tiger.

Volkswagen Golf

Peugeot 205

VW Corrado Intermarque

7th June 2015. Spaceframe VW Corrado with a Ford engine. It was the first time it had run and there were a few teething issues, but did manage to finish third in class. The car belongs to Ricky Hunn from Essex.

Honda Integra

This Honda was put together by the Bevan family and first appeared during 2015. It was raced in the BARC TinTop championship

BMW E36

This BMW was driven is September 2020 whilst the Escort was away for repair after suffering engine damage.
